Perched high above the Tamar River at Rosevears, Rosevears Vineyard is an operational winery located 15 minutes north of Launceston in Tasmania.
The winery was established in 1999 and the winery began production during the 2000 vintage.
On March 1, 2004 Dr Andrew Pirie took control of the Rosevears Estate Winery facility. Dr Pirie produces all Rosevears wines under contract in addition to producing his own label. Dr Pirie is regarded as the leading figure in the Tasmanian Wine Industry for his work in establishing Pipers Brook Vineyard and placing Tasmania in the minds of the wine drinking public.
On the 1 September 2006 Rosevears Estate Winery was taken over by Tamar Ridge Estates, Tamar Ridge took on the services of Dr Andrew Pirie as Chief Winemaker and CEO. He is currently managing all brands of Tamar Ridge including his own Pirie Estate and South Brands.
The winery at Rosevears has now become the tirage facility for Tamar Ridge Estates award winning sparkling.
Cellar Door is open at Rosevears Vineyard 7 Days a week from 10am to 5pm.
